I've never mounted a bipod on an AR. Still trying to decide on the mount, also want to replace the scope mount with an ARMS mount. A little hard on brass, check post on trouble shooting, but first group was impressive with 123 Hornady factory.

Barrell AA 18", mid legth gas.
PWS brake and Miwest Ind Rifle legth handguard
Bravo Co M16 carrier(heavier), H1 buffer(have to check that), and med gunfighter charging handle
RRA lower parts kit with match 2 stage trigger(very nice trigger!)
Magpul UBS stock(went back and forth between that and PRS)
Ergo grip and winter trigger guard in FDE
Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x mill dot
Bushnell PEPR mount(currently)

:cool:I am building my first AR also. I had the same problem as you on the stock selection. I ordered a UBR Stock and a CTR cheek riser to put on the top of the stock for a higher cheek weld. They have not shown up yet. A normal configured AR can not use the cheek riser on the UBR stock due to a interference problem with the charging handle but if you have a side charging handle you should be good to go. When they come in I will post a picture in a thread I have already started under the builds section. Here is a link showing the riser. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=53248/pid=31963/Product/CTR_MOE_Cheek_Riser__3_4_?utm_medium=shoppingengin e&utm_source=googlebase&mc_id=10000&gdftrk=gdfV21820_a_7c187_a_7c745_a_7c100004223_d_1 00004221_d_10970

LaRue makes a cheek riser for the CTR that is springloaded so you can still use the charging handle. It runs for sixty bucks and works absolutely great. Larue makes good shit.
