What do you think about the Cobb MCR? Worth it?
SBBW
Thmpr, I have no personnal experience with the cobb MCR, but, several people that I shoot with have and love them. They are a reputable manufacture and so far have stood behind their product. I looked at the MCR before I bought my Grendel and liked what I saw and what others told me. Just my .02. :)

Thanks for the positive feedback... I have two coming in in the 308 platform. Just wanted to make sure before I jumped on it.

For those who dont already know Bushmaster has recently bought COBB. BFI wanted to get into the 50 cal business and COBB had an existing Gov contract to produce 50's. I contacted COBB and BFI and the goal is to get set up producing 50's first then get the MCR out on the shelves.
I have not shot the MCR but I was very close to buying one NIB at a local shop. I went to look up COBB online and found all this out and started emailing questions about compatability with the COBB version and the BFI version. Both sources assured me that the design will remain unchanged and BFI will support and COBB product.
How is this usefull to the 6.5 comunity...the MCR is an AR that can easily be configured from 5.56 up to and including 338 LM and everything in between.
Thought I would pass this along.

My opinion is that any firm's rifle offering will be improved by the performance capabilities of the 6.5 Grendel cartridge. If Cobb/Bushmaster wants to chamber 65G, I say more power to 'em!
