  • Asking your opinion!

This is out of the context of this Grendel sight but since we are all shooters, re lasers etc, I thought I'd get your opiiion.
Your all probably familiar with GunBroker by now. I buy a lot of stough from there and once in awhile I browse. The other day I found under Collectable Rounds cannon etc a post that was selling three stick of dynamite taped together that was clearly advertised as inert. It also had a wire connected to a detonator.
I wrote to GunBroker suggesting to them that I thought it was irresponsible of them to allow such a stupid item to be sold on their sight. I understand that there are inert grenades and motor rounds being sold as collectables, but taping sticks of TNT together isn't really a collectable.
I'd like to hear your thoughts. If you agree please write Gunbroker. Thanks!

That would be an interesting package to get through the mail! Wonder what it looks like on X-Ray?

"Collectable," like beauty, pornography, and many other subjects, is in the mind of the beholder.

I don't see this as any different than selling inert hand grenades. Perhaps it's better to not be self-righteous about it, and let free enterprise work...

You'd be suprised what kind of inert stuff is really collectable. Back in the day, they had oversized machinguns made that had cut out areas and let the recruits look at how the functioning inside works. Some stuff was plastic there are all kinds of inert grenades, mortar rounds, bullets etc. This "dynamite" might have some kind of history behind it. You never know. But, I'm sure that if it did, they would list the pertinent information on the listing to help it sell.

One mans trash is another mans treasure.

That being said, i'd never buy it. Either way, post up a link so we can look at what you are talking about.
