I want to upgrade my trigger on my grendel, i have RRA single stage triggers on both my ARs. I'm looking to spend around $200 and I'm guessing a two stage but if any of you know better let me know. what do you guys suggest?

+100 For Geissele. They are EDM cut, so there are literally no tool marks on the sear engagement surfaces. If you compare any other 2-stage trigger side-by-side with the Geissele, you will notice a clear difference, and they are drop-in.
If you want single stage, I use JP triggers, which require some set-up.
There are some drop-in trigger pack units that have been tested in high-volume by certain units in JSOC, and they failed eventually under high-volume fire. Not sure if the bugs have been worked out, and I doubt most shooters would encounter those issues in a low-volume precision rifle, but Geissele's have stood the test of time so-far. They have the crispiest 2nd stage I have ever felt.

Geissele.
I use their SSA (Super Semi-Automatic) two stage trigger and love it. After using it I will never use another trigger.

I prefer single-stage, and use Wilson Combat's TTU. It's a drop-in with no adjustments. I've been impressed enough that I now have three of 'em, and have two friends that bought there own after trying mine.
I use Jard single-stage adjustables. They are a bit more involved to setup, but you adjust it to your individual tastes, and your individual gun. No creep, glass-break and no over-travel. What's not to like?

I've got a AA arms trigger a little creep and a crisp 4.5lb break is the best I've got it to do,but like advertized it does feel good with a golved finger. Put a timney 3lb skeleton trigger group in a buddies and I liked it. Anybody ever run that Ar gold trigger group, thats what I was leaning toward if I had some good reviews of it.

Another Giessele fan. I have the Hi-Speed National Match model in my Grendel. Second stage adjustable down to just a few ounces if desired.

My Sabre Defence Match Target came with a Timney and I have found ZERO reasons to change it. It gives a repeatable break and is as light as would I would care to have on a rifle that goes afield.

Alexander Arms Tactical Trigger is a great single stage. I have them in 3 rifles, and really like them. They have a very crisp break at 3.5-4 pounds.
That said, my trigger in my 28" is about to become a Geissele National Match. If I could find a single stage with a 1-1.5 pound pull, I would prefer that, though. I like single stage triggers.

I like my AA trigger also I just dont have my set up as well as your is. A little creep and a crisp 4.5 lb break is the best I've got out of mine. Probably because of my limited experince with ar triggers I'm sure.

Jp for a single, giessele for a double stage. I use a jp. With some set-up it has zero creep and even less overtravel. I bought a jard and wasn't happy. The hammer would drop 95% of the way while on safe. However others have had better luck with them.

Giessele (pronounced "guys-lee" in case anyone has ever wondered) hi-speed national match is probably the best you will find for the AR platform. No personal experience with it but it's going in my project based off of "real" reputable shooters I've talked to. And based off it's stats and reviews I have no reason to doubt it.

I have four of the Geissele triggers and no longer even consider any others, on one of them, a high speed national match, has over 14,000 rounds and it has been flawless and passed weight check every time for three years and 12 EIC matches at 4 lbs 9 oz. No single stage trigger can stand up to this kind of use. On my Ultra lite Grendel I have the SSA-E which is 3.5 lbs, nice but will some times bump fire if shot from the bench. I prefer the heavier weights now that I've learned how to control them properly, which took me a while.

Being a Newb to the precision rifle game, I have never been in a situation where I was able to try out the different types and makes of triggers side by side. I have a single stage that was worked over by Bill Springfield. I like it, but would really like to try out the Geissele and others. Does anyone have a recommendation on where I could give them a try in the Houston or Dallas areas?

Timney if you want to keep close to $200. American Gold Trigger if you can spend a bit more. I have some of all from basic DPMS, Rock River, Timney and American Gold. In my opinion, the Rock River is a good low cost trigger.

I'm running a Geissele Hi-Speed National Match on my Grendel and absolutely love it. Its over your $200 budget but once you get it tuned I don't think you will ever wonder if you should have bought a different trigger. I don't see many used Geissle's for sale but when I do they demand a premium price...
