I am just getting into reloading for the 6.5 Grendel and have acquired some Nosler 120gr Ballistic Tip and some 130gr Berger VLD bullets. I am interested in trading small numbers (10-20) of these bullets for some 100gr and 120gr Barnes TTSX or 120gr Hornady A-Max bullets so that I can see what will shoot best for me. Pet loads recommendations would also be welcomed.

I don't remember the name of the web site, sure someone will chime in, but there is a place you can order sample lots of bullets to try out without buying an entire box of bullets. I think I heard of it on ar15.com

Tagged for later trading,

I intend to begin reloading for the 6.5 within the next month. I would love to trade bullets with you guys.

The first bullets I am going to buy will be the

Speer Deepcurl 140gr, if i can find them.

I am not a paper shooter I hunt with the gun so BT and all that jazz don't excite me.

I go for high sectional density and weight retention.

Anyone tried the GMX bullet in their guns, it was too long for me in the 308 platform...

Benny, the 140 hotcor is easy to find, the deepcurl is soon to be, or so I was told from Federal. The 129 GMX is a too long of a bullet for the Grendel to get decent speed, it's designed for longer bolt gun cartridges. I have been turning the base of quite a few down to the 95-105 grn. range=( the same o.a.l. arena as a 120 Nos. BT.) , with excellent results = this is a very accurate bullet, and tough as nails. Lead free is a secondary benefit!

Can you explain, briefly, how you are turning down a bullet without affecting its concentricity or integrity.

Very interesting. Alot of work I am sure, maybe you will trade 2 x 1 on those :)

I use an end mill with a specific size collet, it holds the bullet perfectly true. More of a hobby, not too much of a pain to make. I'm currently working on a 110-115 Hornady Interbond.

OKAY I have some Speer Deepcurl 140 gr projectiles on the way, trust me when I say they weren't easy to source.

I am looking to trade for equal count(s) of 123gr Amax.
