Well, I finialy got out and shot the Grendel. I wasn't worried how it was going to shoot.
Several folks I know have Grendels and everyone of those guys love them. Every week
since I put it together I have said I was going to go shoot it!
Well I made about 1hrs time, I went to the shop and looked at my Grendel data and it
said that I could use 26grs - -36grs of H335, I had just got a Redding Powder dump
with Micro. I think it is a BR30? Anyway I had been testing it to see how good it really was
and i was using H335, so I dumped a load in my scale pan and weight it and it said 26/.3grs I dumped another charge and it was the same, so I did something I have never done and have no plans to do again, I call it Dump and Load, I don't have any plans on doing that again! I did a super fast 10 round loaded seated to 2.220 just to make sure they would chamber and they did so off to the range. By the time I got there my back was killing me but I had to find out. I sat down with my rifle , shooting rest, and sand bags at the 25 yard bench. I allways site my rifles in at 2" high at 100yds. I got it sited in decent and then moved to 100yds and shot my last 5 rounds. I put the cross dots right on the bottom of the target and I gently pulled the Trigger, the first shot was 1/2" to the left of Bulleyse, well I thought wow, never changing anything kept my target sight the same and shot the last 4, and man what a pretty clover leaf pattern! So I got some thing's to do to it, but showing the last 4 shots tells me it is a keeper!!! I hope I can post a pic of the target, like a dumb a$$ I peeled the target off the backing sheet and put it on the target stand not thinking they did not stick so I stampled it down, I peeled off to bring it home and it did it's best to roll up and ruin it, so I had a cardboatd box and I stuck it to cardboad and had to trim it up, it sure isn't very pretty but it worked.
Let me know what you all think?
Greg
