          Bill:

          Like Steve -- CED Millineum.

Get the IR sky screens and if you don't have power on your range, the battery pack. If you do have power, skip the battery pack as they don't last long.

When you get it, buy a four foot long piece of square tubing that fits into the sensors and use four feet instead of two.

The Pro Chrono Digital works well, is easy to use, is reasonably priced, and a 9-volt battery lasts quite a while.

              Thanks everyone!

I had it narrowed down to the CED or the Pact unless someone came up with a better option.

Anyone have experience with this one?:

PACT products are guaranteed to improve your shooting, or your money back. Calculate your split times between shots, know your bullet velocity and reload.

Buddy and I went together to get this model of Pact XP chronograph. We've only used it a couple of times but so far has worked real good. Another Friend had the orignal pact chronograph and once we got the newer sky screens with the shades and moved it away from the power lines it worked a lot better. So far I'm pleased with the new pact and it is handy having the printer built into the unit. Only mod I'd like to this model is put a angled piece of steel in front of the first sky screen. From my experience it isn't weather you hit the sky screen but when. This is one reason we went with the detached sky screens. A slight hit doesn't mean you've lost the sky screen but its not that hard to do.

I have had a Pact for over 10 years with no problems. It would be like the XP model today with the built in printer. I really
like the printer being part of the unit and having detached screens. It seems when you let someone use your setup the screens
get hit. I have two bullet holes in the screen housings but they were above the working stuff so everything still works fine.
I do not think you would be disappointed with the Pact.

If no budget constrains, I strongly suggest Chrony Gama Master. Remote screen, separate printer. Been using Chrony products since 1996 and extremely happy so far...
