Here is my 2 cents. Instead of spending money on a .300 whisper custom barrel. Just get a 32.20 barrel and shoot 175-240 gr .308 bullets in it. The bores are equal and there is no hassle getting ready made brass. Remember the 300 whisper was made for autoloaders not single shots !
If you are a contender fan like me, then try a 32-20 contener barrel for
your subsonic projects. I believe .300 whisper load info would be approx the same, so you could use existing 300 whisper load info for your 32-20.
BTW : Twist rate on T/C Contender 32.20 barrels is 1:10. From what I read, this is adequate for most heavy subsonic bullets.
Also, use Rebated shoulder bullets like the Lapuas, the muzzle blast
is directed UP INTO THE SUPPRESSOR, not along the bullet as in Sierras.
