so im new to the rifle world and the amount of scopes on the market seems to be blowing my mind a bit. i bought the 24" overwatch from AA and didnt really think about a scope until recently. and as being the broke low ranking enlisted guy i am, Im searching for advice. im looking for something that will be good up to 400-500 yds for paper punching, but not so one sided i can still get deer and racoons in the back woods behind my house around 75-100 yds. is the super sniper a decent option. i hear alot of hype about them on ar15.com but i dont necessarily want to cut myself short and be out $300. im not trying to win any competitions just something reliable for the field and the occasional range trips. any advice would be great. idk i guess i just seemed it would be as easy as the shotgun world (aim close and shoot) im used too. HELP!

Read the reviews and decide for yourself. A friend has two and swears by them. I've used one of his guns that has one mounted on it and I was impressed.

At the suggestion and good deal from my gunsmith, I bought one of those Simmons 6.5-20 scopes and I LOVE it! It is of course from the Phillipines factory though, not the new place in China. I have heard not so good things about the new China stuff. Not sure though. I have held a China Simmons scope and a Phillipines Simmons scope side by said and the Phil was way better quality and finish. But it has a lifetime warranty too for the original owner, so it might be worth a shot! I DO like the one I have on my 6.5G rifle. I have it in a LaRue SPR mount, which of course cost more than the frigging scope did at the time!!! :D
