View Thread : My 1st Grendel build

Ok. I still need a few things(Timney trigger, bipod, better glass, ladder rail covers), but I finally feel comfortable showing off my 6.5 Grendel build.

Mega lower
AA billet sidecharger upper
AA 24" medium heavy SS barrel w/ matched bolt
PWS comp.
PRS stock w/ 1" A2 extension
Ergo grip
DPMS railed forarm
JP adjustable low pro gas block
Barska 6-24x44 Swat Extreme Tactical 30mm Scope(I'll upgrade soon)
Burris extra high XTR rings
Cprod 27rd mag, cut down to 18rds

This is a bolt action rifle (closed the gasblock). I just thought it would be different.

How effective is your PWS brake? I just bought one for my rifle, but am still waiting on some parts to finish my build.

That looks great. I'm interested in the brake too, as I have one on order from AA.

It works pretty well. You still feel some kick, but I really have nothing to compare to, as I've never shot it without the brake. It has a little more recoil than a .223 ... not bad at all. I also think I'm feeling a little more, because I have the gas turned off. No bolt cycling to absorb any of the recoil.
