Jerry Miculek uses something very similar for shooting 3 gun matches.

I have this DD model, used it to mount an Aimpoint Micro on the a quad rail but don't run it anymore. Not exactly sure what you're asking but my primary optic is on a LT SPR mount.

The DD offset mount is a nice piece. I found the transition between the optics to be very quick.

Thanks for the info and the picks! I was asking about the mount because I wasn't sure if it would fit under the scope if it was mounted with only rings or if it would fit under the front aof a larue mount. I dont know if I would like the red dot that far foreward.

The cover of the new American rifleman has an ACR with a cool looking mount that seem to put the mini about 2" infront of the rear of the scope.
