View Thread : hornady 129 Interbond, anyone loading these?

I have a box of 129 Interbond, planning to load off 129 SST load data.
New hornady brass, CCI#450, 29grains Hodgdon BL-(C)2 or
29grains Accurate 2520. Any objections? Have not compared SSTs to Interbonds as far as profile, so before running out and buying a box of STTs to compare thought I'd run it by this great forum. Any input is appreciated.

If my scope arrives today or tomorrow, I'll be testing out some loads with SSTs with AA2520 and BLC2 on Monday. I will post results here in the reloading forum if they're worth posting, but I'll definitely reply to this one to let you know. I have 8 different loads loaded with SSTs.

I have not shot any over 2520 yet, althought thats my powder choice for the 129SST. At the time, I had a bunch of 129SST's (300) and only 1.5 lbs. of 2520.

When I worked up a load for the 129 Interbond, I used some of the 130 Swift data from AA. Started low and worked up slowly, avoiding the max.

Ended up getting good results accuracy wise (for a hunting type bullet) with N540.

Good info to hear. Thanks guys. The load I've worked up is 129 Interbond, 28 grains 2520, seated at 2.270(tight fit in the magazine). Will let ya know how they shoot, may be a while before I can shoot them out. Hopefully this weekend, I'll post results. I'm trying to work up a load for hunting mule deer, maybe the right shot on an elk. I'm gonna have to grab some SST's too though, a lot of people writing about them.
