I've got a "Gill" muzzle brake on my 'fun gun' Grendel and normally I shoot that gun at my home range without anyone standing next to me . . . BUT I was recently at a public range where we had a group meeting and lots of different people trying out the Grendel for the first time.
As I was often behind the shooting line observing the shooting of my gun I was able to see the concussion blast from the Grendel's Gill Brake on all the various items there were on the shooting bench. Guess I never realized how much exhaust gas was directed back toward the sides of the gun by that brake. It was blowing empty shell cases and paper targets all over the place! And shooting under a wooden roof seemed to really amplify the noise too. . . when I shoot in the open at my home range I don't notice the noise (but my wife wonders if I have a cannon out back . . . I don't tell her about the tannerite)
While the Gill Brake is effective, I wonder if there is another effective brake out there that doesn't direct so much of the concussion blast from the muzzle back toward the shooting bench?
What have you had luck with  Provide links please :)
