    Burris Eliminator 3 Help

    Ballistic Help Please?
Does anyone have a Burris Eliminator 3 on their rifle? Their chart shows 2590 fps for their muzzle velocity used for their scope's ballistic information that on the 123 AMAX bullet. The Hornady book doesn't even go that high. I have both an AA AR15 in 6.5 grendel and a bolt Savage with a barrel change to 6.5 Grendel. The Hornady book shows they used a 14.5" barrel. Can anyone recommend a receipe to get my 24" barrel to 2590fps? I don't have the funds for a chrnograph right now so I am asking for a little help.

2590fps is lowball average for longer barrels with the 123gr Hornady. Hornady's 9th Edition shows data for an 18".

The 6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbooks, Volume I and II have a ton of data for 123gr at those speeds. You'll need to chrono your own loads to find out where you're at.

The factory Hornady 123gr A-MX and SST should be close to that for you though. What barrel do you have?

I have a 24" Green Mtn, cut by Jim at Apache Gun Works. It shoots great, but I don't have a Chronograph. It's my 3rd barrel from Jim and all shoot really well. You're right about getting my own chrono.
      Thanks for the advice
