Sig Sauer 556R to 6.5 Grendel

Had a 556R that just sat in the safe with no love, so I decided to give her some. The process was pretty straight foreward with the exception of the mag well. Chambered an X-Caliber 6.5 barrel blank and reverse enginered the 7.62 barrel threads and conture. Original build thread: http://www.sigarms556.com/threads/55...grendel.15300/

Wow, that's really cool! You have some excellent skill Sir!

From your 1:30 ejection pattern, it sounds like the gas is pretty robust

I'm sure you'll get it tuned though. Looking forward to future posts!

Very nice. Is that the first Sig conversion to 6.5 Grendel on this forum?

That is awesome! Great work, one of the coolest builds I've seen.

I haven't shot it for groups yet, I've got too many irons in the fire right now. I have been working up loads for a 20 Practical and Grendel build for praire dog season. Once things slow down a little I will wring out the Sig. I still need to get glass and work up a load it likes. Hopefully in the next few weeks.
