For those of you that live in free states, you can order ammo online. Due to the "SAFE" act here in NY, that is not an option for me. What major retailers carry 6.5G ammo? I have not seen any around here. I have Wal-Mart, Gander Mtn, and Dick's Sporting Goods here. I did have a LGS offer to order me some at $35/20. I'll likely end up loading my own as I can buy all components online, just not loaded ammo.

I do have the option of ordering online and having it shipped to an FFL and paying the middleman.

You could always send it to friend or family out of state and get it while visiting . I expect the Hornady can be had around $1/rnds that way

I have seen 6.5 Grendel ammunition at every Academy Sports store I have been to.

Gander Mtn carrys it in southern Ind. so I'd check your nearest GM
I would suggest that you defect from the communist state of NY
With the taxes you save you can buy a truck load of ammo

I would think that there would be nearby states where everyong goes to buy guns and ammo
I took a trip once to Canada and all of the Canadaians were coming across the boarder to the US to buy Budweiser
for 15 bucks a case cause it cost 40 bucks a case on sale there.

Reloading is good too and you will get some great results from your grendel by doing so

Trust me, it's one of the things I'm looking forward to! I've got one kid 1/2 way through college and one just starting. And one already defected to Florida. A couple more years and hopefully Va or Tn will still accept foreigners.

I'll have to check GM. I've tried going anywhere else but there as the local one here has been getting better than top dollar for ammo since the craziness started. Even after things calmed down some, they've kept their prices high.
