    W3p bullets

For those of you that got in on the buy of the whiskey 3 bullets they are on the way, they shipped out priority this week.
For clarification they were shipped with 24-48 hours of me receiving them.
please let me know when you receive them and how they perform. I myself am going to be trying out the 100gr projectiles and will post results.

Tools, mine are here also- 90 grs. 1.14 oal.
This was a group mini buy tryout. Most transactions were just fine. Bwild lives in a desert hut in Texas, it appears?

The manuf. effed up a bit. Took 6 months to deliver products. Oh, well.

These will be interesting to load- due to short main body lengths. I figured out the 90's today as for oal's. etc/.. Some tip removal may be needed. to run thru ones mag.

      All will need a crimp.

The tips are 11 mm long! They need to be 9mm.

I honed 1 to 9mm--- sweet for easy loading.

Something new- we'll see how it pans out.

There were 2 reasons we went to aluminum tips. As a group,,, We hoped that we would not be noticed as trying to bust through a BPV.

Secondary was , less scars on the bbl. Extension.

My input was thirdly-- it's easier to minimize the alum tips than steel-- if Oal's are too long. Its been an interesting loading so far.

Steel units will need to be polished on the front. smoove as can be. Double check everything on the steel pills.

The jumps can be fine- or Way over the top on lengths. Oh man, so much inconsistencies lately upon all products. Search- check, learn more than just a gun rag can show you,,,

                Caveat Emptor

Let me preface by saying that I'm glad those who ordered have received their bullets. (All have, haven't they?)

I want to let the interested parties know, though, that the company producing these bullets has been involved in quite a widespread series of dustups regarding its inability to ship. I've been following the events as they have developed on several boards, and it does not look good for W3P. It appears to be a classic case of "Promises were made, deadlines passed, refunds requested but not received, customer info was outed into the web.". He appears to be in over his head and doesn't seem to know how to solve his supplier problems. I really have my doubts about the viability of this company.

While not something I'd ordinarily get involved in, this potentially involves fellow horde members who I'd hate to see get stiffed. Please don't take just my word on the matter. Do your research. It is easy to check on some other boards - just look for the flaming torches of the lynch mobs. He's burned his bridges on several, including ar15, 68forums, cast-boolits and msrhunt. All the threads revolve around the Reaper line of chamberings under development by w3p.

True- it takes a while- like waiting for a Grr bbl. to arrive.

I pushed hard to get these done, Ahemmmm... almost sounds like a 1 guy gig, doing this. Anyway, they look great- all of us will post on 6.5 pills. I bought some 110 -.308

units for my S40 carbine. Should be interesting.

Thanks for the heads up Nuggin- we should have checked with the horde firstly. Just big kids in adult clothes - us gun guys,, right?

I see it -I buy it! Heee!

I can attest to that. I don't necessarily want to post the info here, but anyone can ask me via pm and i will tell them my experience.

Those are nice looking bullets, but it seems like they don't have much of bearing surface. I'm curious to see how they shoot.

Well, apparently the heat has gotten to be too much for W3PS. It appears that they've literally remade themselves into another company, under the auspices of being "acquired" by something called "TBG", or Terminal Ballistics Group. This new company name is without a digital footprint of any kind, other than a Facebook page which is identical in content and postings to W3P's earlier page (which now redirects to TBG). Only difference is all the W3P headings have been replaced. (Cached Google search pages illustrate this.)

                          TBG acquires W3PS

Why is this relevant? Because if you have any outstanding purchase orders with W3P you are likely SOL (or worse, if you paid in advance). Further, while the FB page would seem to indicate that W3PS no longer exists as an active company, the W3PS page is still up advertising all product as being in stock and, I suppose, taking orders. I personally do NOT recommend anyone test this, as it will likely cost them some cash to find out.

Just be careful with this bunch, guys. There is already a high number of postings out there on some of the boards about dissatisfied customers who've never received product in over a year, and the responses from the W3PS's owner/CEO have, in large part, been less than professional. I'd like it if the members of the Horde don't join them.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

The CS was terrible, at least we got the order eventually, but i won't order again.
Anyone get any results from them yet?

I'm with Txgunner, not much bearing surface. Has anyone reloaded and fired any? Curious what accuracy results were? What's the purpose of the shape of the base of the bullet? I'm wondering if it is swaged to shape?
