    Value of once fired brass

I have accumulated some one fired A-Max and PPU/Wolf Gold 6.5 Grendel brass. I dont reload so i am hoping someone can tell me what the fair resale value of the brass is. I see midway sells Hornaday brass for $.80 each... My initial research indicates that once fired brass is worth 20% less... does that sound right?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Lapua 1x fired starts at $0.50-$0.60/piece.

      Hornady 1x fired $0.40-$0.50/piece

PPU 1x fired would be more like $0.30/piece I'm guessing.

If they are prepped, cleaned, tumble polished, de-capped, full-length sized, and chamfered, I imagine you could get more.

I just bought loaded PPU for 50 cents a round. I would guess below 25 cents or it wouldn't be worth it to me. Add bullet, powder and primer and you are over 50 cents a round.

Can't always do via percentage... With Factory hornady ammo routinely at $1/shot, and at times down to 90 cents. Then subtract .25 for AMAX bullet, .03 for primer. and $.11 for powder, results in $.61 / case, shot in my rifle, for sure just once. No shipping. And did not have to reload the first time.

Hornady would need to be in the .30/case range, shipped to be of interest to me.

Lapua obviously more. And PPU/wolf down in the .20/round shipped range. All assuming current supply. Or sit on it till the next panic and you can sell for $1/case. :-)

I'm surprised Hornady/Norma unfired brass sells as it's close to the price of Lapua (or was).

No slight to the Hornady Factory Ammo intended, their Grendel loading is still the most accurate ammo I've shot! My reloads are close, but never quite as good.
