That's going to go over well with AR15.com site staff. They have banned him at least 3 times from that site already, the first time being for posting customer name, address, and personal info to "punish" that customer when the guy had an issue with one of ARP's bolts.

Look at the hate page he has for me, a customer who has bought well over $1000 in barrels and parts from him back in the day before I knew what type of character he was. Lessons learned the hard way.

You know, for a Nightforce scope, I might say something good about the 6.8... Of course I don't own one. That's good.

I think he has a deeper problem. I truly hope he can over come it someday. In the end this type of behavior always comes back to bite them. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog...g-disrespected

Must've got some attention over there at the 68forum. They've moved that post into constructor's sub board, where he was kind enough to hide his marching orders to his minions.

this guy has a serious obsession with lrrpf52. I'm positive one could scour all the forums to pick and choose what to post. EVERY platform has its pros and cons. I read the hate and just laughed. Poor buggar, i hope he can work out these issues. Life is too short to hate that much.

The one thing that I found most entertaining is how he went from "Hey guys, we need to boost discussion regarding our beloved 6.8spc on other forums" to "I'll give every person who post's a positive review about ...MY... 6.8spc products, a muzzle device of their choice!

I bought one of his 800 series bolts for a 450 Bushmaster build. I really liked the larger size or radius on the bolt along with the sinusoidal shape. I felt it would relieve any concerns I might have on the higher bolt force with that diameter of a 450 round. The bolt looked like art work but threads on the extension looked a little rough, the folks (Jay) at BHW said it would be fine so I finished the build. A buddy of mine also bought a couple of the same bolts for a 450 bushy and a 458 socom done by BHW at the same time. He complained about the threads to ARP and the bolt disappeared the site. I am not sure what was said or if feelings were hurt (probably). I think the design is one of the best I have seen, I have thought several times about calling to see if he would do a Grendel bolt, though at this point I might just be poking the bear. Its a shame though as we as the AR community all lose over some personality rub. By the way all three of the big bores we put together are running great with the 800 bolts. I personally think the Grendel would benefit by an offering in the 800 series, I for one would buy one now if I could get one in the proper bolt face. My last hope is that maybe Faxon will make a move in that direction. Here's Praying.

I don't believe that bolts for the 6.5 Grendel need any modification "improvements" or any other caliber in the AR15 for that matter, just higer QC standards. When bolts break, they break for a reason; mostly due to out of square receiver faces and improper extension geometry. Not because the design is inherently weak.

The bolt in my first grendel has 5k+ rounds on it, second has 1200 rnds and the bolt I received in the Lilja short barrel group buy has 500rnds on it.
A friend of mine has 2500 rnds of .50 Beowulf on his bolt, the very same bolt the 6.5 Grendel uses. The bolts are not weak, but assembly and QC practices can be.

While the Grendel Bolt certainly fits the bill for what is needed. I completely disagree about the design. The design is inherently weak. To many right angles. The bolt lugs should be much more rounded with fewer, wider lugs.

Well....Yes, but that's the nature of the AR bolt. M4 bolt life is significantly less than AR15 or even M16 bolts. They all run close to the edge of metallurgical limits.
