    TAC Powder for 65grendel?

Really like Tac powder in .223 handloads.
Very accurate and clean burning with consistent drops from my powder dispenser.
Can it shoot as accurate with 65grendel loads using ARCOMP or XBR 8208 under the 123 Amax.
I'm getting 1/2 inch with the stick powders.

Yes it works fine. Yep, it is as accurate as 8208. I have a lot of it here- been using it across the board- never an issue with it.
Tac meters nicely too, better than the sticks in my Uniflow powder thrower. Many powders in the mid burn rate charts work well for the Grrr. Just dial in a charge that works for your rifle.

I didn't have the same expierance as sneaky, as my limited testing didn't yield the velocity or accuracy that I get from 8208 or CFE. My results were that my top velocities were about 30% less. My best accuracy with this and the 120gr amax projectile is with 8208 at 28-28.2gr.

My powder drops were very consistent with TAC.

      YMMV

TAC is one of the three or four powders that give both near-max velocites and decent accuracy for bullets wighing from 85 grains to 130 grains.

Tac will lose velocity in cold weather.

27.6 or 28.2 with the 123gr SST gets about 2435fps in 2 different 20" barrels. AR-Comp 2475 fps and CFE 2525 fps are a little faster, so TAC is my number 3 powder.

We had a lawn mower for that. When we were done mowing, we went out to shoot the nuts off of gnats.

I haven't tried TAC in several years. When I did use it, it gave fine accuracy, but the velocity was about 100 fps behind what I could get with other powders like 8208 and CFE223. My data for 120 gr bullets shows about 2325-2350 fps for 28 gr and about 2400 fps for 29 gr out of a 20" barrel. Maybe I had a slower burning powder lot back then. My neighbor loads 28 gr TAC behind the 120 NBT and everything he shoots with it doesn't live to complain, so in reality it works just fine.

I've had good luck with TAC. It is still my most accurate load. But it does lose a little velocity to other powders.

I get 2454 fps. out of my 18" Walther with 28.2 gr. of TAC and the 123 AMAX.

But is accuracy more important than velocity ? Geeze....
