18" grendel build

Oi,

So I wanted to build a new AR after trading away my 5.56 and before all the madness hits with all these shootings and what not. I was persuaded to go with 6.5 Grendel when I shot my brothers and it was just tits so I was convinced I needed one in my life.

Anyway here is my build thus far with a few pics. I am building this thing piece by piece as I have time and the budget to buy parts lol. This is mainly for posterity and I will be using this as my build tread and reporting operation once it gets up and running.

Parts still needed:

1. Handguard/barrel nut

4. Forward assist

9. springs and detent kit
10. scope and mount

Parts already acquired:

1. Stripped upper (guntec billet)
2. Stripped lower (Spartan billet)
3. Barrel (Dez Arms 1:8 18" melonite SS HBAR spiral flute mid length gas Grendel II chamber headspaced with A.A bolt)
4. Charging handle (Strike industry)
5. Bolt/bolt carrier (Odinworks 6.5 grendel)
6. Trigger group (spikes tactical NTFE)
7. Takedown pins (2A Ti)
8. Muzzle device (Procomp surefire .308)
9. Buffer tube (KVP 4.3oz heavy buffer)
10. Gas Block (Superlative arms .750 bleed off gas block clamp on melonite finish 416SS)
11. Stock (Magpu CTR in FDE with larue Risr in black)
12. Ejection port cover (Strike poly door black multi cal)
13. forward assist (strike enhanced melonite)
14. Gas tube (WMD melonite mid length)
15. Mag catch (mil spec with Troy extended release lever)

Sounds like a nice rifle in the works sir.

I would get my small parts from PF.

Dont now what kind of scope you looking for but check the classifids.

Whats the build going to be used the most for target or hunting or SHTF.

If hunting is the biggest use I would look for a scope that has SFP instead of FFP.

To me ffp scopes retical blocks to much of the animal when Im aiming
