so if i cannot find those, what would be my next best choice? the CCI #41, CCI number 400, or the CCI number 450? i figure the 450 as it is the magnum and i understand that to mean it has the harder cup for keeping the possibility of slam fires in check. so whats the difference between the 450 and the number 41? seems like just a different box,,,,,

I usually get them from Selway Armory or the HSM through our shooting club. They do seem to have vanished. I hope there is big boat load headed our way.

No Russian primers will be inbound until the current political climate changes, part of the current administration's punishment of Russia imports for Crimea.

Don't use the CCI 400. Use the CCI 450's. 41's will work as well because they have a harder cup, not sure if the brisance is the same.

I just picked up an additional 5K in CCI 400's. While I do understand the logic behind the soft cup/slam fire potential, I have been loading AR reloads for many years with WSR and CCI 400's w/o a single slam fire. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few, but I have not witnessed any issues with these particular primers.

            YMMV

I've been using CCI 41s in place of CCI 450 for a while. I've been able to get the CCI 41 to work very well in grendel with ball powders.
