Really leaning towards a Christensen carbon fiber barrel

I built an ultralight hunting Grendel earlier this year, I started out with a Rainier Ultramatch barrel and had very poor results with accuracy. So I went all out and got a Lilja fluted barrel, accuracy got way better, but I still can't find a handload to make this barrel happy. Factory SST is still my best option right now.

So I'm thinking the rifle just isn't tough enough for the weight of the barrel. The Lilja weighs a bit over 3lbs, and the Christensen weighs 1lb 14oz. So right now I'm really thinking about buying the Christensen barrel to test it against my Lilja. The weight savings would be huge for me, and if the accuracy doesn't decrease, that's a win.

Looking to hear opinions and experiences with Christensen Grendel Barrels. Thanks.

Got the barrel last night, apparently I remembered wrong and the Lilja is just over 2lbs. So the barrel is only 6oz lighter at 1lb 11oz. Either way I'm going to give it a shot.

Thank you very much for purchasing a Christensen Arms barrel. I am new here and I am looking to build my first Grendel as a combination hunting and long range target shooting rifle. As such I want it to be as light and as accurate as possible, so the Christensen 18" and 20" caught my eye big time. I can't wait to see what you think!

I have looked at the carbon fiber barrels but there isn't really that.much weight savings

You can get.an 18" jp lightweight grendel barrel that will weigh about the same as the carbon fiber
