6.5 Howa Mini & 140 gr Match

I have a surplus of 140 gr. Hornady Match and wondered if it would work in a Howa Mini Bolt. Have any of you tried it yet?

140gr and even 160gr is fine in 6.5 Grendel.

It performs about like a 6.5x54 Mannlicher.

There is load data here on the site and in the reloading handbooks Vol I and II that goes up to 144gr from AA and Lapua, and up to 156gr from Lapua.

I was just looking at my boxes of 140gr AMAX and wondering what to do with them.

I also backed up the truck on some Barnes 140gr Match Burners.

These were all for my .260 Rem, which I rarely shoot nowadays.

From the Howa, you can get a little more performance with a 140gr.

I would lean on CFE and LVR for them, or N540.

Already loaded 155gr Lapua mega's and they shoot like stink, speed is only 2100fps due to the coal, which is rediculously short due to round nose

Vihtavuori 10th Edition shows 6.5 Grendel up to 156gr Mega, and we included that data in Volume I & II of the 6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbooks.

Hornady 8th and 9th go up to 129gr.

Alexander Arms goes up to 144gr.
