    Grendel filling the freezer

The Grendel did its job in helping to fill the freezer at the end of regular season.
First doe was 120 yards away. Ran about 10 yards and dropped. Small entry wound, and as you can see, big exit wound.

Second doe was 165 yards away, made it 15 yards and piled up. Again, small entry wound, large exit.

Both taken with 123 gr.SST over 31 gr. of CFE223. I am very pleased with the performance of this load.

I like it due to my long length of pull. I had a cheap adjustable stock before and this really makes a big difference to me.

            Cool.... thanks.
I know I am gonna get a Luth stock... just trying to decide between the fixed or carbine model.

Congrats! That exit is pretty crazy. Did you post your results in the Knock Down Survey?

What load are you using, BTW?

My go-to with CFE is 31.2gr under the Hornady 123gr AMAX or SST with Hornady or Lapua brass. Mild pressure, matches the factory speeds.

I included that information at the bottom of the original post.

Skipped right over that. My bad.

What barrel length was this from?

What are you guys seeing as far as Temp variance with the CFE 223?

It was darn cold the weekend I took both of these deer. My entry wounds were spot on to where I was aiming. Sorry, but that is the only information I got on Temp. variance.
