Friday the 13th Hog Down Video

Well, things didn't go quite as planned or expected, but they worked out well enough for me, not the hog. He was a bit of a stinker, left side tusks were broken off, but good-sized. I would have missed him had the deer not run off from the feeder. He never came to the feeder, but remained back in the woods. Fortunately for me, he stopped to root and that gave me time to pop him.

        Thanks!

Now if I could just learn how to proof read my titles after a 20 hour day, things would be great, LOL.

Very nice video again. You dirt-napped him very well.

Do you confirm zero with each trip, or has it been holding well for you throughout all these hunts?

I have not adjusted the zero since my second range trip back in August. I am using the same ammo as well. I generally confirm my 100 yard zero once a month or so. As I usually hunt twice a week, the rifle/scope combo is in and out of the truck multiple times and generally just getting moved/knocked around. All in all, I would say that the scope has done a very good job of holding zero, though I think I may need to make an adjustment. I think my shots are impacting a tad lower that I want, but the windage is solid.

Oh, and I confirm my zero after bad hunts, to verify if the problem is with the rifle/scope or with me. So far, it has been all me. That has pretty well been the case just about every time with my other rifles and scopes as well.

Hog was amazingly well-camoed in full color. Stands out in thermal, though!
