Just released RedX now makes a 20" grendel upper

    $535 including BCG.

I have a couple of their 5.56 uppers and they're awesome!!

I have a barrel marked "R 556 NATO 1/9" and am wondering who made it.
Since you have a couple, how does RedX mark theirs?

From the site's description (followed the OP's link).

BARREL - 20" 416 STAINLESS STEEL HBAR BARREL CONTOUR. STRAIGHT FLUTED. HARDENED TO 26-32 RC AND STRESS RELEIVED. CHAMBERED IN 6.5 GRENDEL. 1-8.5 TWIST BUTTON RIFLED. .750 UNDER GAS BLOCK. M4 FEEDRAMPS. THIS BARREL IS CHAMBERED IN TRUE 6.5 GRENDEL. YOU NEED A TRUE 6.5 GRENDEL BOLT (DEEPER BOLT FACE) A 7.62 X 39 BOLT WILL NOT WORK. WE OFFER THE CORRECT BOLTS AND BCGS ON OUR SITE.

          (Emphasis is mine)

Does anyone have any opinions about Red X? Good quality? I tend to like 20" barrels and rifle length gas systems. Price seems pretty reasonable.

I have 2 20" 5.56 uppers from them as well as a 10.5".300 BLK from them. I love 'em! For the price they can't be beat. They do all their own barrels in house and I've never had any issues (More than I can say for 2 other uppers I've gotten).

Anyone try their Grendel uppers yet? How do they function, group, etc. I need to get an upper for my kid before next November, would love to hear some feedback on these. Thanks

Some have had the issue with the chamber for the Sabre barrels. How much are you wanting to spend!
12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
                    Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

                    Aim small, miss small!

I have a real nice 6.8 I got on a trade, but haven't shot it yet. I am thinking of just swapping the barrel and bolt out for a Grendel. Willing to spend as much as my wife will permit me, just kidding. In the $4-500 range.
