Fluting has very little if any effect on accuracy. There are several reasons (benefits) for fluting. The most comon and well known aspect is saving weight .... which you already know. Here are...
That black engine block paint works really well too. It does need to bake on since it has ceramic in it. But, one trip to the range works just fine. I've used it on several different parts and...
You could possibly have a bent extension tube.
Some free float tubes have a lock screw (mine does). The lock screw keeps the ring/handguard from backing off. If it does have one, taking it out will allow the parts to move freely.
The big question is .......
Are the new ACS (C products) mags any better than they were when C-Products were cranking them out. Or are they the same old product we've been buying all this...
I had this same problem when I first built mine. It fed factory just fine be choked on my reloads. Turns out I was using a .... die with an rcbs shell holder. The RCBS shell holder was a little...
CCI standard and magnum
I have to say that Wolf MPT shoots better than most cheap surplus .308 Nato ball ammo for sale. The brass (although slightly softer) actually reloads fairly well. Although, it doesn't last as long....
If you intend on hunting varmint (smaller than coyote), then the 5.56/.223 fits the bill well. Although, the Grendel will work really well for hunting sage rats etc. It would be way cheaper to use...
Well,
Got that Zeiss in the mail. It's no frills. standard flat black. It does have capped un-numbered turrets, but they can easily be zeroed by lifting and turning to zero. There is a...
Give me one ...... I'll take it to the range and tell you how it went ...... LOL. I'll even video running it on the chrono.
I'm not sure which rifle I want to put it on. I wan't to hunt with my Grendel. But, I also like the long range. So, I would probably prefer having the higher manification than I would get with the...
Well, any length will get you there for 800 yards. I personally shoot an 18 inch mid length (actually measures 18.5 and 20 with the muzzle brake on it) and it prints nice softball size groups at 545...
I use 30.2 to 30.5 of AA2520. My rifle likes the Noslers better than any other.
I've started at .5 increments to get me into the ball park (checking for pressure signs the whole time). Then, when I find a decent accuracy node, I'll got to either .2 or .3 increments within that...
I agree with Bill. I've found Wolf to be much softer and show signs that my handloads (which are hotter than Wolf) do not show. I haven't had any other factory ammo show the same signs as Wolf. I...
They'll shoot better than Wolf. And, the wolf MPT aint all that bad.
They were on sale for a while for 199 bucks. I think they've gone up to 230 ..... but still a great price.
Shoot it like you stole it. It will break itself in as you fire it.
