I have ran about 400 rounds of Federal 205m through my Grendel Ar15 and no problems so far. But I have heard that they are soft for an ar, so I may switch after I use up my stock.

The free float tube would stop just short of gas block. It is easily removed or could be locktited. Here's a closeup of barrel nut with threads for freefloat tube.

Michigan prohibits fireing from a vehicle also, sux I can shoot from road but i cant use my vehicle for a rest.

I have only tested a few hornady factory loads out of my 20" satern barrel but i got 2477-2507 @ about 50° from chrony beta master. When i say a few thats pretty much it.

Today's accuracy results were weak for me and this rifle. I wasn't feeling on my game most 5 shot groups were about moa at 100,200 and 400 yards. Im not ready to blame loads yet.

Thats probably it that and limited testing, and today i found that 31.8 with cci450 were more consistent than 205m so the deviation came into play causing crossover.

Im using a lee auto prime, based on your explanation id say they definitely could of went atleast one more loading probably a few more. Thanks for tip on marking them when they start getting loose.
