      Yes, it really is more important to practice than to load perfect ammo!

      If you want to try this kind of stuff a lot cheaper, here is a program that lets you do quite a bit of what Litz's program does.

        Ok, I got out of the 600 yard rang today. I had 25 straightened and 25 left alone. The weather was not perfect for this test, wind about 20 mph. What I did see was a vertical deviation of about 5" with the uncorrected loads and about 4" with the corrected rounds ( we are not going to talk about the horizontal spread, it was, let's say less than stellar). This was not a definitive test in my opinion, but what I did notice is that the run out of my loaded rounds rarely exceeded .005"
