    Deer with silencer

Admittedly this deer ISN'T shot with a 6,5 Grendel, but my build is delayed for reasons unknown and it SHOULD have been the rifle on this trip.

Will go from 6,5 140gr Amax in the x284 to 123gr in the 6,5 Grendel and have a very much lighter rifle.

Your videos are awesome, showing a level of perspective not commonly seen. Very nice production and great shot.

Great video! You must have some really good cameras. Catching that hit with the contrail was amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Actually the cameras are pretty basic: Canon G16 for close up filming and Canon Powershot SX50HS (50x optical) for the longrange stuff. (they have different names in Europe/US I think...). They last about 1 to 1,5 years before breaking down or being too scratched for use. With that wear there's just no way I can use expensive cameras.

This hunting is done in Scotland (I'm from Norway). I am a little wary about stating distance, but the details are all in the film for those that want to figure it out.

Nice video, the resolution was so clear I almost put on a raincoat to watch it!

Out of interest, why travel to another country with your dog to hunt? Is it more difficult in Norway?

Basically my northern and somewhat remote location makes any hunting trip an expedition for me. If I have to travel for 5-7 hrs anyway, I might as well travel somewhere the hunting is actually good.

The dog isn't mine. The property I hunt is managed by a professional hunter and he lets me use some of his working dogs - usually the one in retirement.

The dog in the film is Thyr and he is about 9 years now. His replacement is in training and occupying most of the stalking time now, so that certainly makes him happy enough to be out with me. He has lived a full life hunting most days of the week and is an incredibly experienced dog. He has had literary thousands of deer under his nose.
