    Bobcat Ping

Got into the stand late, just after dark, and wasn't seeing much moving. Started calling and a few minutes later, a bobcat came out of the woods. As is usually the case, they don't hold up well to 6.5 Grendel and SST 123 gr. Hornady ammo. It was a small female and she was taken at just over 90 yards.

The shot entered the neck, exploded out of the back of the head, traced down the back and did secondary damage on the hide of the back as well. Fortunately, I don't usually take skins or this one would have been ruined. I hunt the predators only as a part of a wildlife management plan on this one small ranch.

The turkeys are sure happy. I bet all the little creatures rejoice at the death ping.
