Finally, life slowed down a bit and I've caught up a bit on our wonderful forum and I decided to show how I did last fall. Big bucks escaped me throughout the season so I settled for filling the freezer on the last day. Small 95lb hanging weight doe. I jumped her, another doe, and 3 fawns still hunting around noon. She's the first one that stopped and gave me a shot. Later ranged at 114 yds, all I had was the head/neck shot, body was obstructed by downed trees. I'm surprised that the factory 123gr Amax didn't exit as it did the last 2 years on broadside lung shots. I recovered fragments of core and jacket, weighed approx 85gr, but managed to lose them before taking pictures. I'm holding the ear in the close-up pic. Ended up with 37lbs of meat. Just glad I got something.
Finally getting around to it

Always good to see another animal or two fall to the Grendel.
I was out a couple of weeks back and saw 2 fallow does on the way in to my normal hunt area but they were a bit quick to head away into the bush however I did get 3 goats so the freezer was topped up before winter

I pulled the exact same shot at the same distance using SST with the same results no pass thru. I was one of the coolest shots I ever pull off I actually seen the head snap back on in pack due little to no recoil the doe collapsed like a ton of bricks. Now I'm hooked

LRRPF52, she was looking back towards me. I jumped the 5 of them from the opposite side of a brush pile at about 15yds, the other 4 took off, but she stopped broadside behind a blowdown with the log blocking her entire body. Since she was looking straight at me, I just put the crosshairs on her nose and let her have it.
