That's a pretty fast twist. Did you mean 1/7.75?

In that short barrel, that twist rate is not all that unusual - since you can't drive the bullet rpm with "straight" bullet velocity, you need to get the rotational velocity up with a fast twist. Especially if you want to stabilize the longer bullets.

CJ - will the barrel accurately (1 MOA or a bit better) shoot 123 gr. AMAXs and 123 gr. SSTs? Have you done much load development and have any chrono data with that barrel? Not having to reinvent the wheel adds value.
My "6.5" = 24" AA Overwatch upper 1/9 twist, NC based US Tactical lower, standard A4 6 position stock, AR Gold Trigger, JPS SCS buffer, Vortex 6-24 x 50 FFP PST with EBR-2C MOA reticle

only shot factory Hornady through it, easily MOA, mostly only shot steel. Factory Hornady clocks at 2450fps on my magneto speed.

So, if I don't want to get a SBR license, I just need to pin and weld the flash hider?

yes, but SBR's are cool! especially when you attach a suppressor...

seriously ADCO charges $30 to pin a FH or brake.

Just so you know, the flash hider included would not make the barrel long enough to be legal even if it were pinned. So keep that in mind.

It's a true AA Grendel chamber.
