Rifle: 18.5" Lilja-barreled Wasp profile, SAAMI chamber, MLGS
Cases: Hornady 1x fired
Bullet: 120gr Barnes TSX
Powder: Hodgdon's CFE223
Primer: CCI 450
COL: 2.275"
Chrony Beta, 15ft from muzzle
Temp: Mid 70's
30.0gr 2435 2424
30.3gr 2463 2497
30.6gr 2563
30.9gr 2561
31.2gr Cease Fire
You can see that the 120gr TSX was building pressure quickly, compared to what we're used to seeing with cup and core bullets. I had loads going all the way up to 31.4gr, but I think I will reduce the COL on them or just pull them.
If you notice, I was seeing about 70fps increase in speed per .3gr of charge weight, which means we're driving pressure very fast.
2.260" is probably a better route to go, with .2gr increments for this bullet/powder combo. I vibratory-settled these charge weights as well.
