    A little work at 450.

    I was out last week shooting my 28" which really likes 123 Amaxs over 31.5 grains of CFE. This is ten shots, rapid fire, 450 yards. Mirage was running so strong that I could not see hits, but could easily hear them.

    This is the same area of the target, with a .75" dot to give scale.

                      Nah, just more paint. That's 1.5 inch thick steel. There are .338 and .50 cal bullets actually embedded in it! BUT...If you don't paint it, you've got NO chance of figuring out where you hit it. Its a full size running deer, and its been there for at least 9 years that I know of. Interesting, nothing has penetrated all the way through. It has been shot with .308 AP, didn't get through, neither did 30-06 AP. No .338 or .50 AP as far as I know.
