    FTE's / stuck case

So just got back from shooting

Second time out with the gun, ill elaborate.

    First time shooting it:
Headspaced fine and worked for the first ten shots then gas blocked started shifting and just couldn't get it tight enough to stay (YHM GB). No blown primers no issues cycling for those ten rounds

Today: New syrac gas block, all lined up and tight. Gas system functions fine locks back but now the i'm getting stuck cases. Also getting flattened primers, maybe it is a headspace issue, go/no were fine though

one case did have a gouge in the case neck

.264lb I with UT x39 bolt, 18in mid length barrel

Oh boy. Sorry, even my tight chamber Liberty functions with Factory Amax. Is your extractor damaging the case rims as it attempts to function?

            so little more info

            running carbine buffer
nothing on the bolt has been touched

thinkin is that it's a tight chamber and with fouling its sticking. I was only able to extract the round after a couple minutes

probably going to call BHW and see what they think

if you dry fire the gun (no round or empty case in the chamber) can you cycle it freely? does your bolt move freely in the bolt carrier? what do your lugs look like?

Is the bolt the one that came headspaced with the barrel?

                      So tried something

I dropped a round in and released the bolt, I'm getting scuffing on bullet just above the case

                        Stiven:

That can happen from time to time. A cartridge in a gas gun takes a beating when it is stripped from the magazine and chambered. I am not positive I would be concerned with it unless it was gouging the jacket or caused a huge amount of cartridge run out.

Something for you to try. I do this when it seems everything is fine with a AR yet am still having problems with feeding and extracting.

Align and tighten things as you deem necessary.

Remove bolt and carrier. Clean inside and outside. Visual on the gas rings please to make sure you have all of them and they are servicable. Gas key tight, bolt and carrier clean.

Clean barrel. This means CLP, chamber brush to get chamber, bore brush for barrel then patches. Hose out with carb or brake cleaner if you want. Patch again to make sure all crap is out of chamber.

Put a very generous amount of CLP on the bolt and insert into carrier. Put five or six drops of CLP down the gas key, more CLP on the carrier and a couple of drops on the extractor. Yes, you are using a bunch of CLP on the bolt and carrier.

Put back together and try again.

I do this as a last resort when I believe everything is fine yet the thing still refuses to function properly. Generally, it functions quite well after this process.
