    Thanks. That is what I suspected when I asked the question, but thought I might be missing something. I have been doing what you suggest for years 1st with a 9, then a .45, then a .223 and finally with a 6mm Grendel.

      ^^^ It is very humbling that way but also (for me) reassuring to know it is Mr Twitchy McTwitcherson behind the gun that is the issue and not the equipment itself..
