if you running a tight budget look at sprinta barrels in 264 lbc --- it is easy to build with a 6.5g or 264lbc upper these days.
with a code you can get the stainless steel barrel for about the same money, SA had a sale on BH barrels and you got a free upper and a matched bolt for an extra $40 -- but that is over i think--

Is the type1 bolt. Less accurate with a heavier bullet than the type 2.
QUOTE=customcutter;118522]Yes the code is SLICKGUNS and it still works the SS barrel is $167 shipped. You need the bolt that Spinta sells, Type 1 same as 7.62x39. Order the bolt and get 30% off a NiB bolt also can't beat that.[/QUOTE]

As far as i can tell there is little difference in accuracy with 123s --so far haven't tested any thing more weighty. I suspect it would do 130s-- but haven't tested with any yet. The spintas are 1-9" twist. In the 20" that seems plenty enough.

18" barrel or shorter does well with tighter twist, at least 1/8. AA went to 1/7.5" after a lot of testing watching bullets go to sleep differently at different speeds and twists from different lengths.
20" and longer does fine with 1/9 twist. I personally still would go with at least 1/8 with a 20". A lot of people are going to just shoot at 100yds and look at those groups, but you will be surprised how a tight twist Grendel will group at 200, 300, and farther. Many see 1/2 MOA or better at distance.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

Ok guys iam looking for a 18 inch 1-8 barrel and bolt. Would like to buy complete upper but haven't found what I thought was a good deal. So now would be happy with just barrel and bolt if any one has this for sale.
