Many thanks for everyone's input as this was my first time assembling an upper receiver.

I used Loctite 243 for bedding the barrel. I used Loctite 263 for bedding the gas block and sealing the gas tube to gas block connection.

I was able to fire a one shot function check and the bcg locked back on the empty mag! (I hope that means I was able to align the gas block correctly.)

This rifle has superb balance, I can't believe I waited this long to go the SBR route.

That's pretty slick. Do you have a can for it already?

No can at the moment. I need to do more research and build up funds. My ears are open to suggestions. Member, John Gault, said he has an AAC M4-2000 that he likes.

Depends on what's most important to you. Weight, sound reduction, length and strength. There are alot of nice cans out and they get better everyday.

My main interest in a can is to not have to put ear muffs on when a deer walks by the deer stand. Length, or lack there of, would be the next highest priority. Weight would be next. Not sure how strength comes into play, but I wouldn't want to put hard earned money into something that would not be durable.

I've got an AAC SDN6, it's a good can. However, I wish I would have spent the money and went with a Surefire 6.8mm can.

Nice looking build by the way!

Cory, thanks for the suggestion, I'll give the surfire a look. This little blaster is all due to the group buy you administered, thank you!
