I just got back from the range with one of the Bartlein 20" Grendel's. It got boring watching round after round going through the same hole after a while.

The group on the right was initial zero. I moved to another dot to see how it would group with 5 rounds. I was shooting between 2 guys who both had Seekins ATC gilled muzzle brakes, so it was very difficult to focus, and I let one flier open the group to .620". There are at least 7 rounds in that group on the left, possibly 8. I counted spent cases in the box, and there are enough to make it unbelievable, so I'll just say 7 or 8. That hole that looks like 3 on the upper left is at least 5 rounds.

What an amazing barrel to shoot really. For those that haven't heard it before, I used to do accuracy testing and final QC work for a precision rifle manufacturer back in the day, so I got accustomed to seeing different barrel personalities. The barrels that really stuck out to me were mainly Krieger's, and I didn't want to let go of at least one of them. This barrel is like that, so easy to shoot bugholes with.

I agree with you on the Bartlien/PF. I think you ('52) are familiar with the upper I bought from member pds. That thing shoots amazing! I have found a load with 100 gr nosler bt that is giving me groups in the .3"s.

      Best money I ever spent
Knowing everthing isnt as important as knowing where to find it.

This upper is just like that one. I don't think there was a rifle on that range that day that shot like this. I look at other people's targets when I go to the pit, and you mostly see patterns, especially in rifle season.

We will till this batch is gone. They don't really want to sell me barrel blanks. I guess I stepped on their sales, but the last time I called in, they told me I had to buy them in advance and wait 3-4 weeks for them and that they don't really like selling blanks. We found the Criterion are out shooting them and we can get the blanks at the same cost and they want to sell me blanks. Criterion has even placed our barrels on their website. For those of you that aren't familiar with Criterion: They are guys that used to work for Krieger and started making their own barrels. Same steel and lapping process, just button rifled instead of cut. Looking at them through a bore scope they scope way better than other brands of barrels and are as nice of a finish inside as a Krieger or Bartlein. We are seeing sub .5 MOA out of these as common although we guarantee .75 MOA.
