    NATO Article 5 Violation

Just so every one knows, the Friday 13th attacks in Paris were legally attacks apon all NATO members. Thats the whole point of NATO- to deter and (if deterrence fails) respond in collective military action to aggression. NATO has both conventional forces and nuclear forces (seconded from the US) available.

Well, nuclear strikes are out of the question, for reasons that should be obvious. And I don't see NATO re-invading Iraq, let alone invading Syria, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

Things were a lot easier when nation states fought nation states and everyone wore distinctive uniforms.

Well, there is rather wide swath of Syria and Iraq n need of serious attention by both ground and air forces. Take them and do the proper follow up with the existing governments and this terrestrial stuff will cool a lot. Yes, return territory to Assad, the Kurdish Atomous Territory and to Iraq.

The action will send a message to other governments abut the foolishness of harbor it or supporting lunatics bent on conquering the weld.

What is sad is that as you look at pictures of all the little kids in the Syrian Refugee camps you know they are the next generation of home grown terrorits wherever they end up. They will have language and social barriers, no education and no marketable skills; prime candidates for recruiters of murderous terrorist groups. Although too much to hope for with the total lack of backbone and resolve of the current administration, it would be nice if we will kicked our NATO allies in Europe and the Middle East in their asses to get them engaged in the "War on Terror" since obama has declared it over. It is hard to believe that with all of this cowardly crap going on we still have people in this country trying to disarm us. It is indeed true, we do not learn from history.

            A couple-three points
            (1) Why should the Syrian Refugee camps be a breeding ground for next generation terrorist? Did you make that up? Studies show that terrorist who attack us overwhelmingly have good college educations- more than twice as many terrorists go to college as Americans.
            (2) Why are nuclear strikes out of the question? Historically, they have worked 100% of the time when used. Can anyone point out anytime in the history of warfare when using overwhelming force has ever failed? (Hint, you cant; because if it failed it was not overwhelming)
(3)If the Islamic State in Syria (or if you want the Lavant) isn't a State, what pray tell is it? ISIS soldiers not wearing uniforms or carrying arms openly just makes them war criminals, not civilians.

ISIL is a state and it declared war on the US and the western world years go.

but the administration gives them PU-trucks money and ammo.

              strange isn't it.

Agreed, but on what scale? Full force invasion?

Is this a forum announcement having to deal with 6.5 Grendel?

I'm not sure this is really the best place for a discussion about this topic, although it is an important one.

                    You really have to ask???
Historically, they have worked 100% of the time when used.
At a time when the US was the world's sole nuclear power. Since then, no nation has used nukes in warfare, not even the US.
ISIS soldiers not wearing uniforms or carrying arms openly just makes them war criminals, not civilians.
That "uniform" complaint always cracks me up. First, it appears that many ISIS fighters do wear uniforms.

Second, our soldiers don't always wear identifiable uniforms, either. I guess that also makes us war criminals...

                      Right on the money!

I realized the same immediately after I posted but didn't want to delete the post.

                      Thanks for the caution!

Sounds like that red line means something.

Yeah. That happened when Obama supported the Syrian rebels giving them money and weapons. How dumb can you get.

Again today, another NATO article 5 violation. This one in Brussels . Again no meaningful NATO response. That lack of response will lead to further emboldenment by the attackers... and of course further and more widespread attacks apon NATO members and sadly the citizens of those NATO countries. And in soem of those coutries the citizens will own 6.5 Grendels
What that means for the Grendle Horde is....(wait for it)...... Sooner later we will start getting AARs back from Horde members on just how well the 6.5 works in a fire fight. Thats what the Grendel was designed for anyway, wasn't it?
