Updated. We have more than 300 kills registered now!

At this stage, no question that 123gr is king of the 6.5 Grendels...

At this stage, anyone doubting the effectiveness of the Grendel?

Just voted on the bullet testing thread and saw some folks wanting to see what a cup and core does to a large boar.

123 sst handload over 28.5 XBR 2.26 coal. Complete pass thru

Personally I only eat sows or young boars. I haven't tried the 80 gmx yet, I chambered a 95 gr and the pill stuck in the lands of my new bartlein barreled upper. The first chamber I had was much longer in the throat. Same smith, different throat lengths. First barrel was before saami acceptance. Still accurate, but now limits on seating depth with certain pills, and I've only shot amax and sst in the new one.

Got a nice black bear today. 130 yard shot, one shot dropped it like a rock. It laid still for 30 seconds and started kicking it's back legs and moved about 10yds, another bullet and it stopped. Pretty impressed.

Bear weighs 275 lbs all gutted out, and is 6'1" nose to tail.
