Nomad, he has a nice rack. Here my fallow are big bodied but very few have a head that large.

Not a Grendel kill thats my .303 sporter.

Buck, that is a big bodied deer. Beautiful looking .303, nice shot placement. Did he drop like a stone?

He was so heavy even without his head, feet and gralloched he took two of us to lift him. He was not more than three years old and a lot smaller than the call buck.

Yup like stone no kicking. His mates just stood and stared at him for 10mins before I moved them on.

                      Why I culled him.

White tail doe. 120gr GMX lead free. Quartering shot. Entered just in front of right shoulder, broke the shoulder, went through chest cavity jello-ed heart and lungs, broke 2nd to last rib on the left side, stopped in the skin on the left. Deer ran about 80 yds and dropped dead.

Got 2 mule deer this season, both 4x3's. One was around 100yds through both lungs, went 10yds and fell over dead. The other was a 150yd shot and got hit a bit far back, ran 50yds and laid down, put another shot in its neck to anchor him. Both using 123gr SST.
