This survey is really taking shape!

Is there a possibility of parsing the data to allow tracking four different bullet classes?

        The classes would be:
        1. Classic lead core with copper jacket
        2. Bonded bullets
        3. Partition (Nosler, Swift A-Frame, etc.)
        4. Lead Free Hunting

This would facilitate the validation of the rules of thumb for bullet weight and game classes in the Ideal Bullet Weight discussion. These rules of thumb suggest, for example, that a lead-free hunting bullet opens wound channels with about the same area as a classic bullet weighing half again as much.

The results in the chart so far seem to suggest that the rules of thumb are conservative, at least for the Grendeliers who are reporting!

        Thanks!

12 point south Arkansas buck using Lehigh High Velocity Controlled Chaos 95gr Lead Free Bullet. Heart shot at about 90 yards standing still and dropped. Same shot 2 days later on a 10 point with gmx from a 556 and it ran about 50 yards. Not a good comparison as the 10 point was chasing a doe. The moral of this story is when you put it in the right place they ain't going far.

Gents, we would like to keep posts in this thread limited to raw data so the OP can extrapolate that for the survey. If you all don't mind, I'm going to go through and remove any posts that are not per the original format requests.

What I don't want is Roe to have to sift through pages of info in order to get the data we need for the survey.

Updated, but still lagging. I have yet to add data from 17 posts.

If anyone else want a copy of the form to add data (it's a simple powerpoint file) please PM me an email and I'll send it.
As long as one keeps track of post number # there should be no double work.
