I probably will not buy a RDB because I already own a Tavor. Being from the Land of Lincoln I can not be trusted with a suppressor so this was fantasizing on my part. For purely a self defense gun I'm satisfied with the 5.56 so I chose the Tavor for it's compact size and ergonomics.

I was a little surprised when Kel-Tec released the longer heavier profile barrels with the no pistol grip models. A 20" bullpup 6.5 Grendel would strecth the effective range of the RDB Bullpup.

I like the idea, plus more manuf's. are jumping in. An AK Grrr is in the works too. Bolties, etc.

I tend to buy guns for function rather than for style. I figure I am pretty enough to make up for any beauty deficits my guns may have.

I could not attend Shot this year, but sent a buddy to the booth. In his opinion, as a bullpup, it was a good design. The trigger was amongst the best he had felt for bullpops, which means it it is still just a combat trigger. The key to bullpups is getting all of the advantage of barrel length into a compact/shorter design, but the down side seems to be getting all of the weight and then some into that design as well. So you lose length, but definitely not weight.

As noted above, a previous version was shown a couple of years ago. Let's see if KT actually makes these in the near future or if this will be like the PM30 that took forever to show up.

Customcutter does raise a valid point regarding functionality. Holding the RDB-C looks to be about like gripping a 2x4.

It might be not quite as crappy as the stupid, Monsterman grips for the AR-15, but it looks to be pretty darned close.

Yeah, the CA legal stock is not what I would be interested in. The regular RDB stock is what I would get. Guys that have bought the 5.56 RDB's are giving them pretty high marks for weight and accuracy. Having a 6.5 blaster to take advantage of affordable Wolf ammo would be be pretty fun!!

              The mechanical design is genial.
It is a nice looking design (at least to me).
Will it shoot sub-moa? If it does, most likely I will buy one.

Do we have somebody from Kal Tec in this forum?

I wish I did. Let's meet back here in a year and see if the thing has made it to market. Kel Tec is notorious for hyping a new product and then getting it to market 3 years later.

For those complaining about the grip that whole section for the mag well, grip, etc. is modular. So you can trade it out and it wont be hard for Kel Tec to make it with and without the pistol grip. Whenever they get them out to people in a decade or two.

Chad from Kel-Tec stated on the Military Arms Channel last spring that he was "assuming it (price) would fall right in" around the $1,300 mark. Discussed at the 16:45 mark in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3R7ck9UPfs

Longwinded, but very positive review of the 5.56 version.

Nice idea but, KEL TEC has a hell of a time getting anything out of the factory to the end user in a timely manner.....
The regular FDB, RFB are still spotty and the KSGs are finally available after several years of show and tell.
