Just bought another mag latch with a slightly larger measurement. Not talking big difference but... Will try that. I have on both ARs - the JP Precision reduced springs. Again seems to function on the steel mags but not the Magpuls. While I prefer the steel mags, I would like to function on both. Will still need to try all this at the range. Bottom line is I probably should have spent more money on a RRA setup.

Installed replacement mag latch and all is working well on the steel mags (preferred). One of the steel mags has an SLED insert (Sinclair int'l) which now works as well. Magpul mags still not working. In comparing the notch at the rear the steel mags are much different. I am going modify one of the Magpul mag notches to duplicate the steel mag notch. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I will report back on the outcome.
Problem solved for the moment. Am prepared to "live happily ever after."
