    Accuracy 108 Lapua / 123 Hornady

I tried some 108 Lapua with 28gr 8208. Wasn't real impressed. I tried H335 also. 1 MOA at 100 apx.. Hornady 123's about the same. 100 gr. Sierra HP 28gr 8208, will nearly cut holes @ 100 yds. Has anyone had any good luck with Sierra 107gr Match Kings? I'm shooting a 20" Black Hole Weaponry barrel. 3lb. trigger, Vortex scope.

    All response's appreciated.
    Thank you,

A SAAMI throat will put 107's under 8208XBR into the .2's for 7 or 8 rds even.

You will have to load them longer if you have a conventional throat. Ask bwaites about his 107gr/8208XBR loads in 2 different Grendel's.

    What's your COL?

There's a reason why I am a convinced subscriber to the SAAMI chamber, and that is that it simply works, and works extremely well. I've been re-looking at the 107gr SMK, especially since its BC is much higher than Sierra advertises, pretty much the same as the 123gr SST, but you can crank it a little faster.

C.O.A.L. is 2.245" Feeding from magazine. The barrel is calibered .264 L.B.C Not the same forcing cone as the Grendel barrel I'm told. I should measure the "free bore."

Increase the coal in .010-.015 increments to mag length.

Thanks for the reply. MOE Mag's and other plastic ones look cool, but I like metal magazines so I can get a little more cartridge length. I hunt with all of my AR's therefore I don't like to single feed rounds. Hoping only one shot is ever needed of course.

I have ASC mags and can load to 2.295. 2.3 is kind of tight. Mine shot best at 2.285 with amax and sst.

Wow, that sound great! I'll call my gun shop guy tomorrow to see if he can pick up a few for me. Do they make a 5 or 10 round mag? Standard .223 mag will work in my .223 Wylde, 300AAC, 6mm X 45 also. Thanks!
