1000yd Results with Lilja 17.6" Barrel

Just got back last night from the Course we ran this weekend.

I wanted to see how my 31.2gr CFE load under 123gr AMAX did from this rifle at 1000yds on steel. This is a public range, so there are other people's hits on the steel as well, but the one in the middle of the forehead is mine. There were some people to the left of us, including this lady who shot the face as well using a long-barreled 6.5 Creedmoor bolt gun. I have a bunch of hits the center as well.

On the large gong, there are several hits from my Grendel and the attendee who I was spotting for. He was using a 20" SR25 with 178gr Hornady AMAX.

Shooting 18" plates at 600yds and 700yds was boring. I'll get some video up of me knocking down the 600yd plate with the Grendel. This gun is crazy accurate.

Ask and ye shall receive. Seek, and sub-MOA impact will be granted unto you. Knock, and targets shall fall.

Nice stuff man! I hear you about the boring part at intermediate ranges. My local range only has steel to 300... yawn... but in the winter months the road behind the range is closed so you can shoot over the road at some ranged out rocks on the hillside. Ranged one at 729 yards and dialed 6.8 mils and proceeded to land three shots in a row center rock. My Army buddy got behind my rifle and hit first shot, I said he could take a few more and he said "Why, this is too easy?" Still need to get out to 1000+ but my Vortex ranger 1000 really does about 800ish unless it's an ideal reflective target. Thanks for sharing!

Here's the 500yd plate to give you an idea of how they cant them downwards to ensure no ricochets come back to the firing line.

I rapid-fired this one after I knocked down the 600yd like you can see in the video in ppst #2.

This rifle fulfills the Light Sniper Concept I have envisioned decades ago. Handling and compactness of the AR15, with the reach of M118 Special Ball, but can still be used to fight the close fight.

There simply is nothing else out there like it.

                        So, it's essentially a CSASS-Lite? Cool.

Have you given -- or are planning to give -- any presentations on the idea to the Army, Marines, SOCOM, AUSA, or NDIA in order to promote it?

P.S. Why do you have such a blank expression on your face in the photo?

It' called "The Position of Attention" even though the slightly bemused facial expression might draw a few pushups from an aggressve DI.

LRRPF52 does that face better than anyone I've ever seen! He also does the "I can't believe you just said that" face better than almost anyone!
