Another beautiful video. That 123gr AMAX left some serious blood splatter.
780 m/s = 2559fps, which would be the same speed from an AR15 with the same barrel length.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

Thanks for that guys.
With practice, the filming has become part of the hunting routine. I make use of cheap'ish cameras and simply focus on the details that makes the "NOW" worth experiencing. People seems to like to hear nature speak with its own voice.

Yes the Amax is a fantastic deer bullet, we have shot literary hundreds and hundreds now and they usually don't take a step when using 6,5x55/260/6,5x284/308

If the action is rated for higher pressure, then you can. Depends on the barrel tennon, thread diameters, receiver diameter, bolt lugs, and steels used.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

Nicely done Roe. You can go a tic lighter in wts. for smaller deer. Any restrictions for sending bullets, as components , across the pond to you?
They must be tender? It's amazing how many species there are of whitetail - other tail - type of deer around the globe. Huge to small, we hunt them all.

Well done sir. I've thourghly enjoyed watching your videos and I'm encouraged to see the 6.5 Grendel with Amax bullets doing such a good job. Just out of curiosity, how do you find them to compare with the Hornady SST for hunting? It appears that the Amax tends to fragment and leaves a wounderful blood trail.

Sorry, can't receive any bullets without an import license and they cannot be sent from the US without an export license anymore. The paperwork is straightforward, but the fee & freight would make me buy 10K bullets before it's worth the effort.
Sorry, cannot comment on the SST. According to the Grendel reloading handbook and the gelatin tests in there they appear very similar IIRC. I have not seen any fragmentation (except when busting bones) in my carcasses, but the roe deer is small.
Hornady has made these videos
